Etsu is a handcrafted gin born from an ancestral recipe and means “pleasure” in Japanese. Made at the Asahikawa distillery on the northern island of Hokkaido, Etsu Pacific Ocean Water gin is distinguished by the use of water drawn from the depths of the Pacific Ocean during the distillation process. For added strength and character, this gin is distilled with botanicals after 22 hours of maceration. A best value gin from Scotland. On the nose are pine (juniper), floral notes, light peppery spice and alcohol. This is replicated on the palate with stronger floral aspects and a high level of alcohol taste. The close is peppery in the finish. Best used to mix in long drinks and punches.
