ETSU DOUBLE ORANGE JAPANESE GIN

‘L’Acrobate’ by Les Bienheureux is a French gin from organic farming produced in small batches through a unique distillation process that the protagonists keep jealously secret. Perfect balance between freshness and fruit, classicism and exoticism, technique and poetry. The secret is the spirulina infusion, an emerald-colored seaweed with medicinal properties, which gives a fresh and iodized touch to the opulent bouquet of exotic fruits.

Etsu is a handcrafted gin born from an ancestral recipe and means “pleasure” in Japanese. Made at the Asahikawa distillery on the northern island of Hokkaido, Etsu Pacific Ocean Water gin is distinguished by the use of water drawn from the depths of the Pacific Ocean during the distillation process. For added strength and character, this gin is distilled with botanicals after 22 hours of maceration. J.J. Whitley London Dry Gin is the product of eight generations of distilling history. It’s a classic London Dry recipe, which uses a blend of eight botanicals, including orange peel, lemon peel, juniper, angelica seeds, coriander seed, liquorice, cassia bark and orris root.

Wonderful smoothness with clear notes of juniper, perfectly complemented by hints of citrus, spice and parma violets.

This gin takes its name from the classic nursery rhyme ‘oranges and lemons, say the bells of St. Clement’s.’ Rather than a flavoured gin with full focus on one flavour, this is unmistakably a gin drinker’s gin; well balanced, and highlighting the characteristics of the prominent lemon botanical without overpowering the rest.
