Liverpool Gin Lemongrass and Ginger is an unusual blend of oriental fruits and spices. Hernö Old Tom Gin is made from the same distilled gin as Hernö Gin, but with an extra amount of Meadowsweet added in the distillation and after diluting it down to 43% we add a touch of sugar. The sweetening lifts the floral notes, releases an array of juniper and makes the gin even smoother.

Hernö Old Tom Gin is made from the same distilled gin as Hernö Gin, but tweaked the recipe and upped the dose of meadowsweet while also adding honey after distillation. The sweetness is apparent on the nose but comes to the fore when tasted. The soft mouthfeel and added honey is evident but also accentuates some of the distillery’s core floral characteristics. Meadowsweet and the lingon berries come though a little stronger than in the usual London Dry (to be expected, as one is increased in the recipe and the other responds well to sweetness) and the overall effect is a complex and intriguing Old Tom Gin.
