Extraroma is a high quality rum produced by the Arcane distillery in the Mauritius islands, an archipelago of volcanic origin with particularly fertile and mineral rich soils recognized as one of the best places to grow sugar cane. This rum is obtained only from pure cane juice, from an assembly of young and old rum, which evolves for 12 years in carefully selected American oak barrels in order not to cover the freshest notes of sugar cane.
Rum with an amber color, it combines vegetal hints with tropical and spicy aromas. In the mouth it is velvety, with sensations that recall chocolate, vanilla and dried fruit.
Excellent to taste straight, in the company of a good cigar or with chocolate, it adapts very well to mixing.

A blend of eaux-de-vie aged a minimum of two years, the Gautier VS Cognac embodies the first aging of Cognac carefully crafted by the Cellar Master of Maison Gautier, Isabelle Couprie. Its harmony is due to the careful blend of Fins Bois and Bons Bois eaux-de-vie that creates a perfectly balanced taste, somewhat unusual in such a young Cognac, combining the best of both crus. The Fins Bois is famous for its heavy soil, producing eaux-de-vie that age quite quickly and express a wonderful aroma of fresh grapes; meanwhile, the coastal location of the Bons Bois gives a rustic, down-to-earth character. Judging by its astounding collection of awards and medals, the quality of this VS expression certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by experts around the world.
Based on the Osme river in the town of Aigre, Gautier Cognac is amongst the oldest Cognac houses. Their casks lay resting in an 18th century water mill, providing a humid microclimate that creates a pronounced flavor. The Gautier family are passionate about the skill of aging; their relationship with the importance of wood goes back to their 17th century ancestors who were forest owners near Tronçais. In 1644, Charles Gautier married Jacquette Brochet, a winemaker’s daughter, bringing together the skills and expertise of two families to create Gautier Cognac.

It was in 1790 that Doctor Zwack, Royal Physician to the Imperial Court, offered the Habsburg monarch a sip of Unicum as a remedy for indigestion.
Legend would have it that the royal comment was:
‘Dr. Zwack, das ist ein Unikum!’ giving this herb liqueur its name.
The fame and popularity of Unicum was gradually to spread far beyond the Court in Vienna.

Achieving the “Outstanding” label Gold award at the famous International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2015, the Gautier VSOP is an exquisite blend of Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie.
Described as “gourmand” by Gautier themselves, it boasts a beautiful blend of aromas, from warming winter spices to sweet candied fruits, with a delicate woody note of oak to offer an authentic touch to this relatively young Cognac.
