Etsu is a handcrafted gin born from an ancestral recipe and means “pleasure” in Japanese. Made at the Asahikawa distillery on the northern island of Hokkaido, Etsu Pacific Ocean Water gin is distinguished by the use of water drawn from the depths of the Pacific Ocean during the distillation process. For added strength and character, this gin is distilled with botanicals after 22 hours of maceration. Organic sloeberries from southern Europe picked after the first frost and dried before soaked in Hernö Gin for four months is the secret behind Hernö Sloe Gin. A smooth, sweet sloe gin with balanced tartness is the result.

This gin takes its name from the classic nursery rhyme ‘oranges and lemons, say the bells of St. Clement’s.’ Rather than a flavoured gin with full focus on one flavour, this is unmistakably a gin drinker’s gin; well balanced, and highlighting the characteristics of the prominent lemon botanical without overpowering the rest.

Etsu Double Yuzu Gin has been macerated for seven days using traditional botanicals such as Japanese Yuzu, juniper berries, liquorice root, angelica, coriander and matcha. Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is fresh with citrus notes, using natural ingredients, giving this gin a unique and light finish.
